Confluence
Inspired by the work Remous vital created in Sherbrooke in 2022 by the collective, some elements of this installation are reused and adapted to the reality and history of Parc StSacrement in Terrebonne, generating a new loop in the revaluation of these materials.
The convergence between the two sculptural works emphasizes the artists' concern about the need to rethink our relationship with nature in a harmonious dynamic and reveals the invisible links between territories and their interdependence.
The thousands of pieces of plastic, from single-use bottles, mimic the shimmering of water, its transparency, and its movement.
The repetition of forms recalls industrialization, which directly points to our instrumentalized relationship with nature, our appropriation of natural resources, namely water, essential for all life.
Plastic, used as a material, refers to the accumulation of waste harmful to the survival of living beings.
Collectif Trisk'Elles
Composed of multidisciplinary (undisciplined) visual arts artists Véronique Hamel, Anne LeBel and Sylvie Michaud, the Trisk'Elles Collective was formed around common interests such as the creation of large-scale works focusing on the valorization of nature, the environment, and its preservation. Each of them, through their artistic uniqueness, contributes to the ideation and production of the artistic project. Their collective approach is characterized by a constant questioning of the work in progress, the diversion of the object in favor of the intention, and a search for the unexpected in order to achieve an assumed and accomplished creation.
