Remous vital

Collectif Trisk'Elles

The irreversible consequences generated by human consumption on a small and large scale in all ecosystems are at the heart of our concerns.

Inspired by nature in all its complexity and grandeur, we focus our discourse on the imperative of its preservation.

The Vital Turbulence work is both a tribute to the beauty of the St-François river, a source of life, and a heartfelt cry in the face of our thoughtless actions that threaten all sensitive environments on Earth.

Shaping, assembling, and sculpting are used to impose on our vision the presence of the river in this place that it had itself inhabited before human intervention, and also to recall its importance throughout its journey in the development of communities of the past, present, and future.

Recycled bottles and wire frames appeared to us as the materials that could most accurately represent the fluidity, clarity, shimmering of water, its strength, and paradoxically this concern related to the health of the river in connection with our thoughtless choices.

The viewer is placed before a work that invites them to consciously reconsider their daily choices and their effects on all lives.

Collectif Trisk'Elles

Composed of multidisciplinary (undisciplined) visual arts artists Véronique Hamel, Anne LeBel and Sylvie Michaud, the Trisk'Elles Collective was formed around common interests such as the creation of large-scale works focusing on the valorization of nature, the environment, and its preservation. Each of them, through their artistic uniqueness, contributes to the ideation and production of the artistic project. Their collective approach is characterized by a constant questioning of the work in progress, the diversion of the object in favor of the intention, and a search for the unexpected in order to achieve an assumed and accomplished creation.
